How to Use Your Crop for Oil, Resin & Extract
Intro to Cannabinoids
There are a plethora of cannabinoids which have numerous and seemingly boundless uses in the medical industry. We are discovering new cannabinoids nearly every day! We now know of 113 different isolated cannabinoids that exist. Research is being done as to how each of these individual isolates affect both humans and animals alike. We are seeing results ranging from pain relief to help with anxiety, sleep deprivation, reducing need for insulin diabetic patients, reduction in tumor size, reducing and even reversing loss of sight, increased circulation, helping mitigate the various symptoms of lyme disease, alzheimer’s, arthritis, anemia, eczema, crohn's disease, stopping seizures in children and even helping battle cancer! The limits seem to be absolutely endless and our planet is the one who stands to be benefiting the most.
As a farmer of cannabinoids, there are many things to consider. You must consider how you are going to plant (ie spacing/plant count per acre), how you’re going to germinate, how to properly “sex” your plants, what fertilization or field amending regiments you will be implementing, and most importantly, how you’re going to harvest. The question is, what are you going to do with your harvest; ie, things like will you be extracting for isolate, or whole plant extract, etc.). It is important to know all of these things before you even start your season if you are going to be truly successful. Here at Key To Life, we understand that this can be a daunting task, so we are going to do our best to help you every step of the way to ensure the most profitable harvest possible!
More than likely, if you are farming for CBD or other desirable isolates, or even if you are going after whole plant material, you will be working with an extractor of some kind. Now, here is where things can get tricky. You really need to know what is going to be most profitable for you. Tune in next week as we begin to discuss the different cannabinoids that hemp can produce and what the benefits of each one are.
