Post Harvest Field Amending

Why wait?!

After harvesting your field, there are a few things that you can do to help jumpstart your success next season. One of the easiest ways to get this head start is by amending your field post-harvest. The fall and early winter season is a critical period for your field. The essential microbial and fungal colonies in the soil begin to slow their metabolism. During the winter months, these microbes and fungi will slowly continue to propagate and grow. The cold does NOT kill microbes and fungi, it only slows their cellular activity. Once you have harvested your field, you are essentially harvesting the nutrition from that field; which now resides in the harvested material. It is important to begin adding those nutrients back to the field as soon as possible so they can begin building a balanced soil food web again.

Our Hemp Dress product is a hand-crafted blend of slow and fast release nutrients, beneficial organic acids, vitamins, and both bacterial and fungal inoculants. By amending your field at the end of the season/before winter, you begin stimulating your soil, getting it back to where you need it when planting season arrives next year. The organic acids really stimulate this growth during the entire off-season to ensure the most efficient proliferation possible. Your soil is a living thing and it needs the proper nutrition in order to thrive and be fruitful. If you feed the soil, your soil will feed your plants! This means less nutrition is required during the growing season, saving you time and MONEY! Our farmers can now restore their soil, instead of degrading it which can create an uphill battle for plant nutrition.

Invest in next year’s success today!
